Laurence Edward Ed Ray

On behalf of the Department of Safety for Denver Public Schools, we send our thoughts and condolences to the Ray family. I had the honor of taking over as the Chief following Ed's retirement. I still remember the four days we spent together during the transition wondering what I had gotten myself into! Ed was very reassuring and set me up for success as he passed the leadership torch to me. Now, 9.5 years later, we have grown what Ed started and remember the foundation he laid in starting this department. Rest easy Chief Ray, we have the watch from here....
