Precious Kayode
Some people leave this world quietly, but leave behind a presence that can never truly be forgotten. You, Uncle are one of those people. You are such a gentle man - meek, humble, easy-going and always so peaceful. You were always ready to help, always willing to give, and had such a beautiful and selfless heart. The last time I spoke to you on the phone, you were incredibly weak, your voice had changed, and I could hear how much you were struggling. Yet, what touched me the most was that even in that state, you weren't focused on yourself. You were asking about me. You wanted to know how I was doing, how work was going and how life was generally. That was simply who you were - a man whose heart was always for other people, seeking after their comfort and wellbeing! It is difficult to accept that you are no longer here. Death really does get the best of us sometimes. We make plans, we hope for more time, and then suddenly, we are left with memories and words we wish we could say one more time. Uncle, thank you for being such a kind and gentle soul. Thank you for your love, your humility, your willingness to help and the peace you carried everywhere you went. You may no longer be here with us physically, but the goodness you showed, the memories you left behind and the legacy you so effortlessly built, will continue to live on! Rest peacefully Sir! You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith, and now you may rest, away from the troubles of this world! Until we meet again. 🕊️🤍
Pastor Wale Jimoh
My beloved brother, Pastor (Engr.) Kayode Sunday Philip Akin has gone so soon to be with the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to join church triumphant. It look like a dream but is a reality that is too big to fathom. The short time you spent here below is very impactful and full of inspiration to generation that is coming behind both in academic and spiritual arenas. My brother is easy going, humble, respectful yet silent achiever, very comprehensive and very discipline. Indeed, the church militants have lost rear gem, that is so unique. To us in the family a big vaccum has been created, which is very difficult to fill. We will continueto remember you. Our consolation is that you are resting from your labour till the resurrection morning that we shall meet at the feet of Christ where we will not be separated anymore. Rest on till that day. Adieu! (Pastor and Mrs. Wale Jimoh and family)
