Carla, Nick and Jenny, Your father was an amazing and kind man who, along with your mother, raised three great children. He was so proud of each of you. What a wonderful gift to have parents whose love is endless. May the memories of that love give you comfort. We pray that the Lord provides you with peace and healing. Our sincerest sympathy. We love you so much. Bill and Kathy

Nick's work with the Pollution Prevention, Remediation & Air Quality Division included being in charge of the Environmental Response Team. Nick had a great work ethic and a very helpful mindset, regardless the ask. He was a very knowledgeable and truly genuine person and will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to the Kontax family. So sorry for your loss.

Carla, Nick & Jenny, Your Dad was a wonderful man and one of the kindness I have ever met. He and your mom always welcomed me into your home as if I was one of their own. There were countless nights when I would have no where to go for dinner, if they didn't welcome me with open arms. My most distinctive memory of him was one day when you guys were upstairs and I was alone with him in the living room. I was deciding what to do for college and told him of the high expectations my parents had for me. The conversation with him was maybe 15 minutes, but his message is still so vivid in my mind. To paraphrase: "Hudson, as parents, we want our kids to be happy. My kids all of their quirks, but I love and embrace that in them. You won't know until you become a parent. But as long as you are happy and living a meaningful like, your parents will be very proud." And to be honest, his words helped in my decision to make a very scary and risky career change, to follow my passion. He and your mom will forever be in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss. RIP -Hudson
