Mark Harro, 38, was a loving husband, brother, and son. On Monday morning, August 15, 2022, Mark was returning home from Johnson Creek Airstrip in Idaho with his brother Daniel when his aircraft unexpectedly crashed. Mark and his brother Daniel both died at the scene.
Mark was known to those closest to him for his loving heart, fierce intelligence, and silly disposition. Mark was exceptionally creative, evidenced in his ceramics, drawings, paintings and costumes. He brought his silliness, kindness, and compassion into every area of his life. He embraced life passionately in his outdoor adventures, building his dream home, and in his marriage with his wife Kelly. He will always be remembered as an exceptional friend, loving husband, loyal brother, and beloved son.

Mark had many talents. One which has continuously come to mind during these past several weeks was his ability to send silly, often overly wordy, texts, which sometimes were even assisted by a diagram or written on photo. Here is one in particular that has stuck with me. This was an update we got during one of the many times Mark and Kelly were graciously watching our dog Milo. It had us laughing for two days. Periodically I scroll back through my texts and smile at the funny texts I have from Mark. Anything from trash talking big time leading up to a board game night, to sharing updates on 3D printing. I didn't realize how much I took these texts for granted. #NeverStopPrinting

When Mark & Daniel Harro come to mind I am filled with several great memories. I first met them at SMS in 7th grade & instantly enjoyed being around them. I had several classes with Mark over the years & like to think we became good friends.
During 8th grade symphonic band Mark & I sat next to each other, him playing the clarinet & me the flute. One of the biggest songs we played that year was "Into the Storm". Daniel had moved from the clarinet to the bass clarinet & sat behind us. During that song Daniel had a solo but always had a tough time with the very first note. Mark & I literally laughed every single time he missed it. We played that song I don't know how many times that year & what seemed like almost every concert & we got yelled at every single time we laughed, including those concerts. Those memories with Mark always brings a smile to my face.

We're so grateful to have had the gift of your friendship for the last seven years - from meeting over puppy antics, taking us on our first dispersed camping trip, acting as witness at our elopement, geeking out over Star Trek, hosting board game and annual Christmas cookie decorating nights, sharing such genuine enthusiasm and love for our children, welcoming us into your home and your family circle for Thanksgiving dinner, to just generally being one of the most generous, creative, and loving people we've ever known. We'll hold onto and celebrate your memory forever, and cherish every future moment we get with Kelly, your soul mate and our dear friend.
