My deepest condolensces to dear Anthony on the passing of your wonderful father, the legend Tony Mundine, a great boxer but even greater human being, Doesn't matter I don't know you personally, I share your hurt and deepest sadness as I did when my dearest father also passed away in 2006, he brought me up very much like yours to be a man and respect people weaker than yourself...........

Uncle Tony was a beautiful human being and a genuinely good man who always showed me love and respect.

As the head boxing coach at Woolloomooloo PCYC, it has always been important to me to remember and celebrate the rich history of our club and the fighters who exemplified the values that remain today. Tony Mundine was a huge part of that history and his name now adorns our fighter of the year award. It was a privilege to connect with Uncle Tony over the years and our club will continue to honour his legacy through our efforts both in the ring and outside of it. Rest in Peace Uncle Tony from all of us PCYC Woolloomooloo Adam Thompson

He was a gentleman I had a tonne of respect for. I grew up watching him fight on television and drew inspiration from his career.

A trailblazer for Indigenous Australians in sport, whose legacy would live on through the generations he inspired, both in and out of the ring.
