Matthew Douglas Church

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mathew Church. Matt passed away on Sunday March 7th, at Niagara Health Hospital, from a complication with a skin infection that moved into his blood stream.

Matt was born to Paul and Margaret Church in Toronto, April 5th, 1979. Matt was known to add life and humor to people's day. He always carved out time for fun with the kids in his life. He went out of his way to ensure that guests in his home felt welcomed and comfortable. Matt loved outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. Matt was a loving father, a fun uncle, a loyal friend, and a generous soul.

Matt is survived by his daughter Madison, his parents Paul and Margaret Church, his grandmother Enid, his brothers Tim and Steve (Julia), his niece Cahaya, nephew Jonathan, and countless friends.

A Zoom memorial service to honour his life will be held Friday March 19th at 7:00pm (see details on the events page). All who knew and loved Matt are welcome to join. It will also be recorded for those who cannot join us at the scheduled time.
