Lisa Jo Ann Arthurs

Lisa JoAnn Arthurs, 60, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully in her sleep, the early morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2025, where she was surrounded by her loving family.

Before becoming a homemaker, Lisa worked for many years at Kincaid’s Animal Hospital. She loved the animal kingdom and was called “Dr. Doolittle” by many.Lisa loved life, her family and friends, but her grandbabies were her most prized possessions;Twelve year old twin grandsons, Easton and Colton Dowler (Danielle), and granddaughters Ellis Arthurs (3) and Nyla Arthurs (1) (Logan). Lisa gave 110% to everyone and everything she touched. Lisa was a devoted wife, companion, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her first husband, Jerry Arthurs Jr. of Belpre, OH; three children Ashley Arthurs of Belpre, OH; Danielle Arthurs (Shawn) of Parkersburg, WV; Logan Arthurs (Gabrielle), of Belpre, OH; and her “forever son-in-law” J.W. Dowler of Parkersburg, WV, who gave Lisa the honorable title of “THE Gammaw”. Additionally she is survived by Jeff Hamilton, her loving companion of 21 years; sister’s Tina Field, Cheryl Holbrooks, Margaret Bouterfa; and brother, Rusty Todd, whom she shared a special bond. Lisa is also survived by several friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins from Tampa, FL and to the Mid-Ohio Valley. 

Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Jack (Bo) Todd; sister Debbie Colleton; mother Jaqueline Sanchez; and father Russell Todd, all of Tampa, FL. The family would like to give a special thanks to her long time, and much loved primary care provider, Dr. J.T. Conner and staff. Lisa will be greatly missed and fondly remembered forever in time.
