Kevin Michael Frawley
9 mai 1963 - 12 juin 2024
9 mai 1963 - 12 juin 2024
Kevin Michael Frawley of Darien was only 61 years young when he lost his brief battle with cancer on June 12, 2024.
Kevin was born in Ridgefield, the son of William Frawley and the late Patricia Fabian Frawley. He attended Case Western Reserve and graduated from Western Connecticut State. He went on to complete his MBA at Pepperdine University and remained in California for several years before returning to Darien, CT.
Kevin was known for his huge heart, incredible sense of humor and devotion to his friends and family. His son, Jonathan inherited his “Frawley” sense of humor and his daughter Katelyn, his hair and his kind disposition. Kevin’s friends will always remember his laugh, his expressions and his wry wit, not to mention his amazing culinary talents. He never had a friend that didn’t become part of his family.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Joanne Herrick Frawley and his wonderful children, Katelyn Frawley (19) and Jonathan Frawley (14) of Darien; father William “Bud” Frawley and his wife Shirley of Bridgeport, CT, sisters, Shannon Reeve of Bethel, CT and Denise Pedersen and her husband Rob of Milford, CT.

I find myself staring at these earlier pictures of Kevin, and seeing the same expressions he had years later. I can hear his voice and laugh (maybe more of a chortle), and it makes me smile. The hot dog marathon was at the Corner Bar in Rockford, Mi in 2001. Kevin, Justin and I ate 12 hot dogs each to get our names on the “Wall of Fame”. Justin ended up throwing up in front of the takeout window right after the picture. The corner bar burned down 10 years later. Kevin and I are sporting fashionable life vests courtesy of Delta. We had checked into the hotel in Puerto Rico moments before. Needless to say, we created quite an impression on guests and staff alike.

Remember so many happy times with Kevin and the family! Lobster bakes, Hershey Park multiple times in scorching heat, ski adventures, Christmas drop ins, New Year’s Eve celebrations, 4th of July fireworks, baby cottage pick ups and birthday parties, long discussions about favorite old movies, so many happy times hanging out on your back deck watching the kids play. You are all a special part of our lives. These memories seem so much more precious now We miss him so much but grateful for the time we had together!

Ehhhh, as Kevin would say, as he greeted those who came through his door! Ehhh, as Kevin would say when I called! This was his way of showing excitement that a friend was in the Frawley household or on the phone. Kevin was excited to be with his friends, his family, and he had general excitement to live life to it’s fullest He will be missed!!.
