I joined FPC as an intern not but 9 weeks ago, so Doris and I knew each other only for a short time. She had a fascinating way of making it feel like years. From interacting with and observing her, I quickly noticed that she was truly the light of the office and I am grateful to have worked alongside such a stunning picture of grace, kindness, and above all, love. Sending my most heartfelt thoughts to her family and friends.

Doris was a remarkable, wonderful colleague who I had the fantastic opportunity to work with for only a short period of time. During a 2018 reporting trip to Washington, DC, California, and Hawaii Doris showcased her incredible talent for working with journalists and also being a tremendous friend. I developed a strong connection with her during that trip and was blessed to learn about her phenomenal career with the Foreign Press Center. I am incredibly saddened by her sudden departure.
