I met Annette in 1990 when she took the trouble to come to my house to introduce herself when I was newly arrived in Kuala Lumpur. We became good friends, as did our children, and after we left Malaysia we kept in touch, albeit from opposite sides of the world. She stayed with me a couple of times when she came to Australia, and I stayed with her when I was in the UK. Even when we hadn't seen each other for a while, we could always catch up just where we left off. Annette was so helpful and supportive when I was going through some tough times, and so strong and resilient when she was going through her own difficulties. Although I haven't seen her recently, I will miss knowing that she is there, and I will always remember her for her friendship, her humour and her wisdom. Much love to all the family.

Annette was one of the most forgiving and understanding person I have met. She always seem to look for the best in anyone. She always welcomed anyone to her home no matter who they are. My most fondest memory of her was when she told me some hard truths but not in a bad way. She let's you down gently so you can get on with life. As far as I remembered, she always put everyone else first before herself so i would assume she will want every to celebrate her life and not be upset she has departed. Condolences to the Brook family...

My lovely auntie i remember the nights when you came to baby sit me and Leo and we would sit and watch mid summer murders together when you lived in Elmswell and me and Leo would come over and visit happy memories the last few years I haven't seen you much family gatherings would bring us together and your laugh would fill the room there's alot I wish I had said/asked you. I will miss you.
