Roger Lee Props

Roger Lee Props, 65, of Harrisville, West Virginia, passed away on February 7, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving mother and family. Roger was born on April 24, 1953 to Mary Wilson Props and the late Roy Props. He was employed at AB Chance for 22 years and Englander Bedding for 15 years. He also earned a degree in welding from Salem College. He was a proud 1972 graduate of Harrisville High School. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, wood working and farming on the family farm. Roger was preceded in death by his father Roy. He is survived by his mother, Mary Wilson Props of Harrisville, WV. Mike Props, who was not only his nephew but also his special caregiver, two daughters Melanie Hodge of Pennsboro, WV and Jennifer (Jeff) Valentine of Stuttgart Germany, three brothers Donald (Oleta) Props of Harrisville, WV, Jim (Becky) Props of Pennsboro,, WV, Richard (Margaret) Props of Harrisville, WV and one special sister Cathy (Butch) Skaggs of Harrisville, WV, three grandsons Dustin Rogers, Hunter Valentine and Lance Valentine, one granddaughter, Tapanga Hodge, one great grandson, Skyler Rogers and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on February 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm at King Knob Methodist Church in Harrisville, WV. A private burial will be held following the service at King Knob Cemetery.
