James Patrick Doolittle

James Patrick Doolittle, of Parkersburg, better known as Jamie, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born January 21, 1964 to the late Sylvia Sue(Brown) Doolittle and Billy Dean Doolittle. Jamie graduated in 1982 with his high school sweetheart, Brenda (Couch) Doolittle, from Parkersburg South High School.

Jamie never met a stranger. He spent many years working at Skinny’s Pizza and Quick Check convenience store in Parkersburg. He loved to spend time with family and friends who hetreated like family. He Enjoyed watching WVU and NFL football. He liked watching comedies and loved to make people laugh. In his younger days, he enjoyed remote control cars and riding his four wheeler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda, his daughters, Heather Sue (Dale) Offenberger of Mineral Wells and Krista Doolittle; one grandson, Leo Patrick Offenberger; his sister, Deborah “DJ” Spencer and brother-in-law Doug Turrill and his beloved dog, Zoe.

He was preceded in death by a baby sister, Kathy, his older sister Billie Louise (Doolittle) Deaton; his mother, Sylvia Sue (Brown) Doolittle and his father Billy Dean Doolittle as well as his best friend Douglas Glover. 

There will be a private cremation at the Mid Ohio Valley Cremation Society. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday January 4th 2025 from 12 noon to 3:00 PM at Saint Francis Xavier parish center at 532 Market St. Parkersburg.
