Jacques Peeples

Jacques Peeples, 61, passed away peacefully on July 10, surrounded by his beautiful family. Jacques was born October 14, 1959 the son of Charles and Ora Lee Peeples, who preceded him in death. Jacques was the youngest of five children; Bettye (d.2019), Otis, Jerry (d.2012) and Brenda (d.2016). The family lived in Chicago, Illinois. Jacques known as "Jackie" was also lovingly addressed as "Stoney". Jackie graduated from Percy L. Julian High School class of 1977. Jackie has held many jobs over the years, including working in the steel industry. Most recently, Jackie was employed as a Front Desk Assistant for Midway Neurological & Rehab until his death where he touched the lives of many of the residents and employees, he will be surely missed. Jackie was widely admired for his infectious personality, he always had a smile on his face. Jackie was a fan of all Chicago sports teams especially the White Sox, and as a teen was known as one of the best disc jockeys in his neighborhood. In the later years, Jackie was a loving father and grandfather. Jackie loved traveling to Massachusetts to celebrate his daughter's accomplishments, such as her law school graduation and wedding. Jackie was also known for his love of sweets, pop, and snack foods. Jackie leaves behind to cherished memory his beloved daughter Jazmin Kirby Brown(Adrienne), a loving granddaughter Madeleine Cheri Brown, a loving brother Otis Peeples (Linda), and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held by his family on Saturday, July 31, at the Krock Center.
