All your recipes involved two special procedures that you never skimped on: 1) always learning and 2) always teaching. Your generous use of a not-so-secret ingredient named “Made You Feel Special” became synonymous with the Harper brand. Great recipes get passed on from generation to generation and yours will live on forever with everyone who had the opportunity to know you. I would have preferred sharing this note with you 50 years hence but life took another turn. I will miss you, my friend. Above all, heart-felt condolences to the Caron family.

Harper, you invested yourself fully into everyone you came into contact with. You were always down to earth and wanted to know how we were doing outside of work. It showed your genuine care and concern. Anytime you visited you had genuine excitement when we’d first say hello to each other. When you hired me in Atlanta you told me your goals for me and the timeframe you wanted it to happen in. You said you would consider it a personal failure if it didn’t happen. When it did happen and I reminded you of what you told me you said “Damn I’m good, I must know my s**t!” The impact you had on Uncle Julio’s is immeasurable and the hole it now leaves is one that can never be filled. Thank you for your mentorship, leadership, your confidence and most importantly in believing in me. We’re all better for having known you! Rest In Peace! ❤️

So devastated. I just love you and Bridgid and Ronnie and Patti and that is all I can say right now.
