Closing in on almost 4 years since Amber has passed away. I’m not sure who else reads these posts but it has helped me when I’ve wanted to call her or text her. I see people we were friends with in our teens/20s go in so many different paths and I wish I could just call amber to talk shit tbh. I want her to come see New York, show her other parts of the world and that the reality she was living in was not permanent. She was a great friend and I wish I was there for her more when I had the chance.

So, I graduated college and among all the celebrations I think of you! Today I met a new friend and she told me her name was Amber, I couldn't help but have pictures of you flash in my mind. I even told her husband about you. I wish I could have seen you more and spent more time with you. I miss you and love you always!

Today was one of those days I’ve realized that Amber is really gone. One of our friends passed away and I wanted to call her and tell her but can’t. Ask if she can fly down for the funeral, stay with me a few days and catch up but instead I’m writing here again. I had a few life events I wanted to tell her about so badly, get her advice and have her tell me how much I was over thinking lol. I don’t know when I’ll come to terms that Amber is gone but in the meantime I’ll write on here

It’s been a little over 3 years since amber left us. Cliche to say but time flys by. So much has changed, I moved, got a new job, meeting new people and I wish I could call Amber just to get her advice. Someone asked me about the tattoo on my neck the other day and what it meant and I feel like it means even more now. I will never forget how amber impacted my life.

Crazy we are closing in on 2 years since amber passed away. Small things will trigger a memory and I’ll be happy and laugh for a moment then realize I can’t text her. I tried to call her a few weeks ago, just to see if the voicemail would pick up but surprisingly it rang for a bit then auto message played. This past April would’ve been my daughters 13th birthday. I went to go visit her grave like I normally do and I could feel Amber’s presence. It helps to think they are in the next stage of life together. I wish so badly I went to Tennessee to see her when I had the chances, not listened to her when she told me not to come last minute. I want to tell her about Britany’s pregnancy, she just found out a few days ago. My promotion, the possibility of me move to NY, my funny neighbor, my moms retirement, my dads humorous hatred for my brother in law. I know she knows or sees but I just want to hear the little giggle when she’s making a point.

I can’t believe it has been a full year. Time has flown by and I catch myself thinking of a funny memory then remember amber is no longer with us. I will listen to an old song while driving and pretend that she’s riding with me (on the way to get a large coke in a foam cup of course). To many memories to count, from our first place together, pregnancies, miscarriages, break ups, she was my sister. I’m sorry I lost touch.
