Alexander Michael Cowden, infant son of Vincent Cowden and Lauren Gough, was stillborn on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Though he never spent any time with us, he touched many of our lives. SURVIVORS include his parents, Lauren and Vince; his sister, Abigail; grandparents, Doreen, Mike, Suzanne and Mike and the many aunts, uncles and cousins of Lauren and Vincent. A graveside service will be held at the Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery in the future.
We ask that only people that live near the cemetery attend and that people put the money that they would otherwise use to travel towards a charity of their choosing. In place of having a traditional in-person funeral we are putting the funds towards purchasing a well through Life Water Canada in his memory.
This well is in an orphanage in Nigeria and will help people who have experienced a loss.

There will always be an aura of Alexander's presence in your family. I looked forward to his arrival at Christmas time. Lauren was so generous is letting us hold Abigail when she was a newborn. I was looking forward to cuddling this first son too. I have a special place for him in my heart. Much love and respect for all of Alex's family, Tonie.
