Willie Mae Blyzes

Willie Mae Blyzes, age 96, of Pevely, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus, Missouri. She was born December 24, 1928, in East Prairie, Missouri, the daughter of the late Rose (nee Evans) and Jonathan H. Roach.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Trentis “Paul” Blyzes; daughter Paula Broombaugh; granddaughter Brandie Townsend; 2 sisters and 5 brothers

 

She is survived by her daughters Carmen Wilson of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Yvonne (Sidney) Wright of Festus and Lorraine “Yvette” Townsend of Pevely; grandchildren Candice Kist, William (Bridget) Hempel, Amanda (Scott) Baker, Angela (Ronald) Lewis, Cynthia Carmack, Donald Ney, Jr., Rebecca Chatfield, Jennifer Ruch and Lana Rose James, Yolanda Townsend, Reacha (Rick) Sadler, Tyler (Sabrina) Millien, Brandon Millien, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

 

Willie was a member of United Pentecostal Church. Willie was a lover of God, her church and Jimmy Swagart.

 

Visitation will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, Pevely. Interment in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crystal City, Missouri.
