Clyde William Curnutte

     September 2, 1933, Clyde William Curnutte was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to George W. Curnutte and Violet Staten Curnutte. Through the course of his life he was known by many names. "My Bill" is what his adoring mother wrote on the back of a picture of him as a toddler.      They lived on a road named Rabbit Run which brings to mind visions of a quaint cottage in the woods with delightful flora and fauna. Bill enjoyed a life filled with extended family; aunts and uncles, and cousins to play with. He told of a fun-loving uncle who set him on a cow to ride it into the barn. As his uncle milked the cow, he asked, "Hey, Billy, would you like a drink of milk? Bill said yes. His uncle shot some "fresh milk" straight at his face.      Bill was born at the worst time of The Great Depression, a period from 1929 to 1939 in which 15 million people were out of work and half the banks failed.
