Ulysses "Jack" Smith

Ulysses (Jack) Alexander Smith, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 36 on June 14, 2023 due to an unfortunate illness.

Our family was not expecting for Jack’s life to be cut so short and so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed.

Jack was born on May 29, 1987 to Eva and John Papp in Venice, CA. After Jack graduated from high school he went on to live an adventurous life. He explored and enjoyed all life had to give him. His journey consisted of many hobbies and activities such as rock climbing, cinema, snowboarding, and many outdoor adventures. Jack became a Sommelier and enjoyed the finer cuisines life had to offer. He was an intelligent soul who knew how to make the best of any situation. He made many friends in different cities and impacts on so many loved ones. He always felt most at home when he could grab a bite to eat and walk along the coast lines of Venice Beach.

He will always be remembered with much love by his father John Papp, sister Samantha Papp, and his youngest sister Melissa Papp.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by the many friends he’d made from growing up and working all over California. We can all find solace in knowing he’s been reunited with his mother. May he rest in peace.
