Tkex Jack Hunter

Tkex Hunter, age 58. He was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1963, and passed away on October 20, 2021 at home peacefully with his family by his side. Tkex is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Catherine (Paradis) Compton; siblings, William Compton, Carolyn (James) Widen, Lenny Compton; and father-in-law, James B. Waters, Jr. Beloved husband of Jacqueline (Waters) Compton for 19 years. Devoted brother of Tamara Reif and treasured son-in-law of Judith Waters. Cherished brother-in-law of Jennifer (Albert Ugarte) Waters, Jeanine (Ricardo) Ochoa and James B. (Beth) Waters III. Adored uncle of Shelly (George) Bou Samra, James (Corinna) Widen Jr., Kylie (Aaron) Parpart, Tyler Reif, Ryan (Amber Fredericksen) Reif, Kathryn Waters, Megan Waters, Alexandra Ochoa, Isabella Ochoa and Seamus Ochoa. Dearest great uncle to Louis Bou Samra, Maya Bou Samra, Tony Bou Samra, Maryam Bou Samra, Eliana Bou Samra, and Payton Reif. Longtime loyal friend and neighbor to many. Tkex will always be remembered for being a passionate Chicago Blackhawks fan. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Tkex was an enthusiast of motorsports and also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time outdoors. Tkex was a meticulous carpenter and left his fingerprints on many projects for family and friends. Tkex loved spending time with his family and friends who brought laughter and joy into his life as he did theirs. Visitation for Tkex will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2021 from 3 pm – 8 pm and Service on Friday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, in New Lenox, Illinois. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Tkex’s memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Cancer Support Center.
