Thomas' Hijo(a)
Thomas "Tom" Steven Genshock
14 de abril de 1955 - 2 de febrero de 2026
14 de abril de 1955 - 2 de febrero de 2026
Thomas Steven Genshock, age 70, from Kenmore WA passed away suddenly of an unexpected heart attack on February 2nd, 2026. He was born and raised in Ohio. At 20, he followed the love of his life to Seattle where he put down roots and thrived, nurtured his family and built a successful business. His childhood interest in building rockets and models morphed into skills upon which he built All Tech Appliance Service. He recently retired after 50 years of providing amazing service to many through his mechanical gifts, McGyver skills, and his kind ways while repairing appliances. Throughout the years he loved to teach through helping and sharing his knowledge and ability to fix and build almost anything. He enjoyed building additions and making updates to his home, as he never intended to move after buying a home shortly after getting married; and he didn’t. He very much enjoyed working with his daughters on their houses and cars. He also enjoyed growing tomatoes in old washing machine tubs to make green tomato relish for his bologna sandwiches. Family vacations to National Parks, cities across the country, ocean beaches for sand and shell collections and an occasional amusement park along the way brought him and his girls much joy and wonderful memories. He had plans to take a trip to Australia later this year to celebrate retirement and his 50th Wedding Anniversary.
He leaves behind: Wife: Joanne. Daughters: Jenifer (Peter Klein) and Susan (William Rennison) and Grandson Gabriel. Siblings: Teresa and Anthony and Sibling in-laws: Edie, Ann, Kathleen, Jeff, Jean, and Janet. Multiple nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents: Irene (Kleckner) and James Genshock. Siblings: James,Timothy, and Betty. Parent-in-laws: Jerene and John Morford, and Sibling in-laws Linda, Connie and Jim.

Tom and I attended Borromeo Seminary High School together. As others will no doubt testify, he was quiet, friendly, and utterly reliable. He never made trouble for anybody. You could put his picture in the dictionary next to the definition of "salt of the earth." Here is his high school graduation portrait from 1973. God bless and keep you, Tom.

"Beam me up, Scotty." Star Trek was Tom's favorite tv show in the late 1960's and now he joins most of that crew who have been beamed up from this planet. In his youth, Tom enjoyed playing baseball in the neighborhood with his best friend, Bobby Kastelic, and liked the 2-player strategy game called Battleship. He also loved building Estes model rockets as a fun hobby which a number of us kids liked to watch when he finally launched them. As he got older his own mode of transportation included a motorcycle and a used car that he and I bought together and shared. Tom had fun at our summer family reunions which were mostly held at our property in Twinsburg, Ohio. Grandparents, parents and siblings were joined by aunts, uncles and cousins from the Kleckner and Genshock sides of the family at a big picnic. He also enjoyed various family visits at our house during Christmas. To the extended family, the Genshock gang was affectionately known as Jimmy, Timmy, Tommy, Terri and Tony! (Always said together in a singing sort of way...lol.) Tom was only seen by me and the rest of the family on a limited basis during his teen years as he attended Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio. He lived there on campus for 4 years of high school and 1 year of college. While there he made friends with several young men but stayed in touch over his lifetime with one in particular ... a guy now known as Reverend Robert Kropac. We will all miss Tom greatly and the various things we shared with him over the years. He was a kind, gentle and loving person. Rest in peace, Brother! Terri Genshock (sister)

Joanne - there are no words for me to express my deepest condolences to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember the kindness you and Tom showed me when you helped me get a new grill to my place and get it set up.
