Thomas (Tom) Edward Schlueter was born in Camden, NJ to Clinford Schlueter, Sr. and Roseanna Whittaker on September 21, 1943.
Tom was raised in Camden, NJ where he was very active with Junior Achievement, where he won county award, as well stamp and coin collecting and his main passion, anything baseball. He loved listening to baseball games on radio and scoring each play. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1961 where he lettered in JV track and graduated first quarter of his class. Shortly after graduating from high school, Tom joined the Air Force where he first learned his computer programming skills. He scored high enough on his enterance exams on administration and was able to chose computers for his career path. He worked the ground crew during Vietnam and once he served his four years, he took computer classes and became a computer programmer.
On November 1, 1969, he married Karen Teig in Pacific Palisades, CA. They had two children, Karla and Krista, and decided they would leave California and raise their family where Karen grew up in Iowa. After their 10 year stay in Roland, Iowa, they decided California was calling them again. They moved to Thousand Oaks, CA where their daughters graduated high school and both Tom and Karen where active in church council.
Family, baseball and travelling were Tom's passion. Tom retired and was able to travel to many baseball stadiums and see most of the US as well as getting to Europe and Russia. After Karen passed away in 2002, Tom met Mary Ann Wigen who has been his life partner for the past 20 years. They were great traveling companions as well as shared many laughs and fond memories along the way.
Tom is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Karla & Chris Cannizzaro and Krista & Destyn Dagle as well as one grandchild, Vincent Cannizzaro and his life partner, Mary Ann Wigen. He was also survived by his siblings, Robert Schlueter, Alma Lockhart & John (Jackie) Schlueter. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Karen Teig Schlueter, brothers Clinford Schlueter Jr. and Allen Schlueter as well as his parents, Clinford and Roseanna Schlueter. He had an extended 'bonus' family through Mary Ann that he also spent time a lot of with and watched her grandchildren grow.
There are many ways to describe Tom: funny, goofy, intelligent, fun loving and outgoing. There are so many stories that we have heard that make us laugh and remind us his spirit lives on.

Tom has been a family friend since the early 70's. We've shared many enjoyable, times together as both of our families lived in the same neighborhood in Simi Valley. Tom was always jovial and most entertaining. He will be missed by all.
