Souvenirs

Alzheimer's may have stolen your memories, but it could never erase the impact you had on our lives and the love we will always hold for you.

With great sadness, we share the passing of Kathy "Sue" Stewart on March 5, 2023. She was born to William and Maxine Glaister on July 31, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio. Sue attended Bishop Kelly High School and completed her Medic training at Fort Sam Houston while serving in the Army. After leaving the military, Sue pursued a career in nursing and graduated from Roper Hospital School of Nursing in Charleston, South Carolina. She later moved to Idaho, where she continued her education and worked for St. Francis Xavier Hospital and St. Al's. Sue met her husband while working in Boise and eventually settled in McCall, where she worked at the local nursing home and McCall Memorial Hospital. Sue had many hobbies, including fishing, photography, painting, and cooking. Sadly, Alzheimer's would eventually claim her life. She will be deeply missed by her son, John William May, daughter-in-law, Amy Lynn May, and all those who knew and loved her.

Remembering my friend and co-worker Sue. We spent many a night shift working when there was just 2 of us in a 15 bed rural hospital. When I had Emergency Room patients, I knew Sue could take of our patients on the Medical-Surgical unit. She was capable, competent and compassionate, a great LPN. I also love her dry sense of humor. During the quiet times we would talk about our sons and the trials and tribulations that went along with being a Mom. Sue never left any doubt how much she loved you John. Though you weren’t physically at her memorial service, you were there in spirit. I told this same story as well as stating how much she loved you. May her memory be a blessing in the lives of those who loved her

I met Sue about 5 years ago. She had a smile that could light up a room, even when she didn’t feel good or understand things. I too remember going to get our nails done with her, and how ticklish her feet were. She was such a sweet women and will be missed by many.

Sadly I never got to meet Sue. She grew up not knowing her father’s side of the family, how unfortunate. I wish we could’ve met and got acquainted. ♥️
