Children: Faye, Rita, Kristene, Becky, and Jesse Parents: Donald Borchert and Betty Hall Siblings: Scott Borchert Besides being the tech-loving, savvy business person we know him to be, he was also passionate about music and the arts. He played the guitar, sang, attended as many live concerts as possible, enjoyed theater, and loved watching movies. His employer, The Open Group, generously offered to make a charitable donation in dad's memory. We've selected Rails-to-Trails (www.railstotrails.org) because he's been a member and regular donor since 2014. He was an avid biker and loved to ride the best trails in every city possible. He forced us kids on mountain biking trips across sandy beaches, dirt, and pavement. Every time he traveled by car, he would always bring his bike so he could find trails to ride in the morning. Hundred degree Texas summer heat never stopped him. Even needing double knee replacement, his favorite place to be was on his bike out in nature.
