Souvenirs

The one and only Stephen Duane Wilder of Morgantown, WV died peacefully in hospice care in his home in Parkersburg, WV Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 3:01 am. Stephen was born on March 28, 1991 in Kingwood, WV and was the third born out of 8 siblings. He was the beloved son of Lesley Knott and Duane Wilder. Grandson of Ezra Guthrie and Beverly Wilder. Loving brother of Brandie Miles (Wilder), David Wilder, Joseph Whilder, Ridgley Knott, Dylan Wilder, Laird Knott, and Ivy Knott. Step brother to Joseph Henson. Survived by his twin children, 6 yr olds Blake and Jaylynn, and 2 yr old Karmen. Loved by his aunts, Janice Kerns and Beth Wotring. Preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Guthrie, grandfather Cecil Wilder, and little sister Ivy Rose. Fiance to Patience Gibson. Mothers of his children: Ronda Humberson and Destiny Jones. Loved and cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stephen was an amazing free spirit. He loved to make and listen to music. His favorite sport was basketball. He could turn the worst scenario into something humorous. He was always the center of attention in the room, even without meaning to be. He had eyes as blue as the ocean, and a smile that could light up the night sky. Though his life was cut so very short, he absolutely lived. He lived life by his terms. Nothing could hold him back. He loved hard. He was an intelligent, handsome, stubborn, extreme, funny, strong, unique person. He truly was one of a kind. There will never be another like him. He will be deeply missed by all whom love him. A celebration of life ceremony will be held by Stephens family in the near future.
