Stephane Anquetil
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Stephane Anquetil.
Stephane was part of Shape Corp. for more than 16 years and most recently served as our Global Director of Engineering. As one of our first team members in Europe, he helped establish and grow our presence globally, strengthening our engineering capabilities and supporting teams and customers across regions. We are a better company and a stronger team because he was part of our family.
Stephane was full of life and energy, and his passion was infectious. He cared deeply about the people he worked with, and many of us felt seen, supported and encouraged because of him. The best way to remember him is in how we treat each other every day — with the same kindness, support and passion that he shared with all of us.
At Shape, “family” is more than a word; it is how we work together and how we show up for each other. Stephane embodied that spirit in the way he led, collaborated and stood alongside his teammates.
Our thoughts are with his family, his loved ones and everyone who had the privilege of working with him and calling him a friend.

Stephane, I am writing this with tears. You have been so much more than a colleague. You have been an inspirational leader, a role model, a problem solver, an idol for so many of us. Professionally and personally. I have seen and been with you at a bar in almost every corner of the world. These memories are ever lasting. I will never forget my early days at Shape, how you welcomed me, and when we have been sitting in this bar in Pilsen. You have told the story about your first trip to Grand Haven, the townhall, and you singing a French song on front of the audience. You will never be forgotten my friend! Christian

In the short time that I worked with Stephane he made an everlasting impression on me. He had a certain way of engaging people and establishing very strong friendships in a very short amount of time. Stephane definitely drew people close to him and created a very strong team. One of my fondest memories of Stephane was signing karaoke with him. The first time I experienced this was in the back of a bowling alley in Japan. It felt more like a 3rd grade birthday party than a business trip, but Stephane brought the room to life. It was a ton of fun and Stephane brought that spark to the party. Most recently was on bus on the way to the hotel after the Chinese New Year's party. All Stephane had was his phone and his voice, but he had the whole bus singing! Thank you for those memories, Stephane. You will certainly be missed, and I feel lucky that I was able to call you my friend.

I cannot say enough good things about Stephane. He was truly one of the most enjoyable people at Shape to be around. Either in person or in an online meeting, Stephane was always happy, positive, and encouraging. He had a very unique way of driving people and teams to be their best and to get things done, but all in a positive/ fun way. Outside of work he was the same. He had an infectious sense of humor and joy that made you want to spend time with him. He will be so missed by both me and the entire Shape family.
