Recuerdos

Sharon Diane Rawlins Bauch, aka “Sharon Journeyer,” a longtime resident of Taos, New Mexico, passed away June 2nd, 2023 at 70 years old, in her home with her immediate family and best friend at her bedside (along with gentle care from Red Willow Hospice towards the end), now liberated from decades of health complications. Soon after, a vibrant rainbow greeted her renewed Angelic form and her body adorned & graced with loving farewell’s at her divine funeral. In loving memory, we who had the fortunate honor of knowing her, remember with great joy: our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and dear Friend. Sharon enjoyed hobbies of drum/flute playing, painting, photography, loved animals, and bedazzled others: with her beaming vibrant smile & crystal blue eyes; fantastic knack for style; unwavering playful sense of humor; adventurous creative imaginative spirit; delicious home-cooked gatherings; sweet kindest heart filled with compassionate loving peace; entrusted conversations empowering others with a trusting ear, generous uplifting advice, wildly witty stories, spiritual feminist wisdom; and joyful sing-alongs with dance to her favorite music, guaranteeing everyone to smile with joy and laughter. Sharon’s accomplishments included: being a caring devoted Mother, world travels, avid studying of spiritual knowledge, and graduating from the Northern New Mexico Community College in Practical Nursing. Sharon is preceded in death by both of her parents Lucile & Addison and sister Zollie. She is survived by her four daughters: Calina Lafawn, Juniper Maria Lucile, Nuna Jade, and Carly Eva; her four grandchildren: Gina, Cielo, Lola, and Coco; her siblings Addine and Addison; and her loving niece Chandra. All her beloved descendants say she was their “best friend” cherishing the priceless memories and compassionate love she abundantly shared. Her lessons on how to see the silver lining, to believe in the magic and beauty of earthly nature, and to love each other unconditionally - have set her family up well. Sharon will forever be deeply missed, and prayed to in ceremony for ongoing connection as we continue to cherish her Spirit. Thank you to all who donated to her funeral last year. Future memorial plans will be updated on her obituary page within the Rivera Family

Oh Mama, All I can start with is thank you for my life and being such a loving and compassionate force of nature that gave all of us so much to be thankful for!!! You have taught me how to keep the faith and never give up. Thank you for always living with your family and keeping us at the forefront of your life plans while showing true friendships never end in the process. I believe your life purpose was motherhood including being an amazing grandmother, and you lived it so perfectly and lovingly. I’m so happy you’re pain free and visit us in such magical blessed ways since your transformation, that keeps us all remembering that we remain as one and never forgotten. Letting you go is impossible, so I will keep praying, meditating, & dreaming with your special visits. God bless you in every way Mom and may you remain angelic in every life form. May your heaven experience be of utmost comfort, joy, and peace. This is not goodbye. I love you Mom, and thank you for the family you left me to keep growing with. ❤️‍

It’s been one years since our dear mother Sharon the journeyer took her last breath and departed for the mystery of what’s beyond our time and space.. for me personally it has been a very hard experience losing my mom and I miss her more the words could ever express.. I still see her beautiful smile and hear her voice giving me advice and uplifting me.. she definitely had the kindest heart I’ve ever met and I’m not just saying that because she’s my mom’ I had the fortune of living many years with her and got to see how she impacted many encounters around the world when we traveled or lived together:) even just the other day someone I know in Berlin told me they ran into a person at the flea market and that person remembered my mom and was asking for her whereabouts:) she really had a way of shining bright and leaving those in her surrounding feeling good and happy with the love for life she shared.. she really enjoyed talking and wondering about the mystical essence we’re all collectively made of and that connects us to everything on earth and in the universe…because of her beautiful and wonderful way of being I learned to believe in the magic that surrounds us, be it about the beauty of a flower colorfully loved by a humming bee, or the sound of the river as it flows by gently caressing everything in its path to sing you the water song of life and death, or the stars that shine above us all, the mystery that she believed and taught goes deep into the essence of big and small,…even though I miss her so so very much, I do believe she is in a better place and is still guiding me with love from above and beyond. Helping me still carry on with all the challenges life can have in these modern times. in my opinion theres no better life Lived then the one where your mother is your best friend and the love she gave still gives strength even after she’s gone.,until we meet again my dear mama Sharon! I love you and I miss you’ To those that read this our( Sharon and mine) message is love deeply truly and unconditional’ call your moms if you still can or go visit them, spend time with those you care about.. .. because nothing is forever and in the end what matters most is how well did you love, live and learn to let it all go’ lets make peace on earth a reality united with the wisdom in our hearts surely we can’ Give peace a chance

My loving auntie Sharon! I miss just having fun with her. She really knew how to get a laugh out of just about anyone. We would have so much fun just goofing off. I learned so much from her about the art of being joyful.

A memory that I get when I think about Sharon, will always be the times I would sit with her and listen to her stories, one in particular stood out, on how she had left home and hitch hiked to Woodstock at only sixteen years old, journeying with the Gypsies and the hippies, she made it all the way. she told me about the crazy things that happened for example there was a group of nuns, and a man that would throw a chicken into the crowd and everyone was catching it and throwing it up in the air again. She always made me laugh, I miss her a lot. But in a way I know she’s in a better place whilst looking over me and guiding me through hard times. My grandpa is always with me in the water I often kiss the necklace i have of hers in the water and ask for her protection. Than you for all you have done Sharon I miss you.
