Scot Affleck

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Scot Affleck on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the age of 74. Scot was born in Vancouver at St. Vincent’s Hospital and attended Sir Winston Churchill high school graduating in 1966. He lived in the lower mainland until 1990 when Sandra, Scot and Robert moved to Prince George BC. Scot was known in the community there; he ran for city council and was a letter carrier for Canada Post for most of his life. Scot always had a joke to tell or a political quip to share. He was a friendly and patient person who enjoyed others humor and he was usually found at the local Tim Horton’s with a newspaper in hand. After the passing of Sandra, Scot moved to Hamilton Ontario to spend time with his daughter Melissa Tovell and granddaughter Maisie. As with many of us, time took a toll on Scot’s health and mental state. Scot is survived by his brother Stuart Affleck, his son David Silver and granddaughter Maria Silver, his daughter Melissa Tovell and wife Krista Tovell and granddaughter Maisie Tovell as well as his stepson Robert Lucas and grandson Cassian Lucas. He is also survived by past wife Ruth Tovell and his extended family. There will be a private service in late April and Scot’s ashes will be interred at the family gravesite. Donations to PFLAG Canada in lieu of flowers would be more than appreciated. Scot would like to be remembered as the person you knew him as in his best days. He will be missed.
