My deepest condolences to the Angoma family for the loss of their beautiful, strong, loving and God fearing mother. The last time I visited with her and Uncle Charles, she praised God for His greatness and power, and then prayed for me and my family. She was truly an inspiration to me. Her life was exemplary. I know she is in heaven worshipping and praising God with the angels. She will be dearly missed by all. I pray that all the arrangements for her burial will go smoothly. MHSRIP.

My Auntie: I remember her in her kitchen with one baby on her hip, a toddler holding onto her skirt, and a chunk of "roasted" anthill clay in her hand; as she fed her food craving from the new baby she was expecting. She was the mother of eight beautiful children! She was a fireball of energy, enterprising and diligent; witty and generous to a fault! Nobody left her house empty handed. Her hand bag sat beside her chair and she would dip her hand into it and give every departing guest a gift. And that is exactly what she did, about a month ago, when we went to visit her and Uncle Charles in Kigumba. I had not seen her in a long time and I felt compelled to go and visit her. Her intensity had not waned. She asked piercing questions about or lives. And as we said our good-byes, she carefully walked into her room and came back with a little gift for each of us; the way she always had. That was the last time I saw her. When I was younger, whenever she saw me, she would look at me intently and ask: "why do you look so much like me?" And she would smile that incredible smile! We will miss Auntie Sarah Laker Angoma. A woman of great strength, focus and integrity who passionately loved her God, her husband and her family. May the good Lord rest her sweet soul, in eternity. And grant all those who loved her so much, strength and peace, at this very difficult time. Christine Akello Lutara.
