27 de marzo de 1938 - 1 de mayo de 2019
Sally Ann Clark passed away on the afternoon of May 1st surrounded by her family. Sally was born and raised in Alton Illinois, the daughter of the late Bill and Edna Hamer. She met her husband, David T Clark, at Southern Illinois University and they moved to Atlanta with their two children in 1966. She is survived by her daughter Laura, son Mark, brother Bob, grand daughter Caty, grand son Jack, many extended family members and friends. Sally was known as high-spirited, fiercely loyal and had countless friends whom she enjoyed hosting for dinner parties or meeting for a Miller Lite at Taco Mac in Virginia Highlands. She was incredibly social and outgoing. She taught kindergarten, volunteered as a Candy Striper at Emory, played tennis at Berkley Hills, and participated in the Red Hatters Society. She formed many long-lasting friendships from Berkley Hills Country Club and her group of friends were commonly known as the YaYa Sisterhood. Sally touched the lives of many people with her sense of humor and genuine smile. She lite up every room she entered all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Sally's life on Saturday, June 1st, 11am at Shallowford Presbyterian Church, 2375 Shallowford Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30345. Please join us for lunch which will be served immediately after the service in fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. As many of you know, Sally volunteered and attended events at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens over the years starting in the 1970's. Sally was an avid gardener and created her own mini botanical garden in her back yard on Oak Grove Road. To support something she loved so dearly will be a lasting tribute to the beauty she brought to the world.
