Romie Lee Kirk, 81 of Parkersburg WV passed away on January 9, 2024 with his family by his side.

He was born October 26, 1942 in Parkersburg WV a son of the late George Edward Kirk and Juanita Faye Deem.

Romie enjoyed gardening, canning, The Steelers, and the great outdoors. And without a doubt his beloved dog and a man's best friend, Wonder.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons David (Penny) Kirk; Michael (Tanya) Kirk, one daughter Carole Byrd, fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Romie was proceeded in death by his wife Eleanor Kirk, one son William "Bill" Kirk, and two daughters Pamela Kirk and Deanna Carver.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Per his wishes there will be no funeral services.

Romie was our neighbor, a man for whom my son grew to have a special relationship with! They would always sit on the porch and carry on conversations And he’dalways watch Aiden on what ever contraptions he would ride on our road rather it be a skateboard, bike or a scooter ! He loved wonder as much as he loved Romie! We will sadly miss our porch conversations and seeing wonder! Rest in peace and I hope your wife was waiting for you when you got home
