Roman Marquez

Iso was a friend of mine. I didn't learn about his passing until this past Wednesday so I'm still going through the initial stages of grief really. The dude brought a smile to my face every time we talked. A lot of our conversations were just nonsense; making dumb jokes, sharing memes, he'd send me bunny pics and I'd reply with pics of my dogs. On one pic of my dog Heidi he replied "WHAT A WELL BALANCED POOCH" and it became a running joke between us. We must've sent that exact message back and forth 30 times. There were a couple of times we'd share our personal struggles with each other, and it was nice to have someone to listen. I helped him as much as I could, whether it was about him hating math and dreading his upcoming semester or the time he sent me an English essay to proofread, or the times I helped him out learning some basics to Fruity Loops. It all meant a lot to me, having someone to share my life experiences and knowledge with because he was willing to listen. He was such a kind soul. He never said anything bad about anybody. The last few days have been tough on me because he was my friend. The last time we talked was October, so sadly we didn't talk in the final month and a half of his life. Roman was a friend of mine and I'll never forget him.
