Roberta Zimmerle

Roberta Zimmerle, 88 yrs old, was a resident of Davenport, Florida.  She was born in Chicago July 22, 1934 to John Louis and Bertie Mae Zimmerle. One of two girls, her sister Barbara preceding her in death as did her eldest brother John Ray.  She is survived by her brothers Fredrick, Paul, James and Thomas Zimmerle. 

Although born in Chicago, the family moved to Tennessee in 1936 feeling that it would be a better location for the family during the depression.  They were able to rent a house from one of the grandparents and work the land to make a living and plant a garden to have food to eat.  

Roberta leaves behind her children, Beverly Simpson, Larry Simpson, Dennis Simpson (passed 6/9/95) as well as grand, great and great-great grandchildren.  

Roberta was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 16, 1964. She loved sharing her beliefs with everyone she came in contact with.  Her love for Almighty God Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ was evident in the way she lived her life. When Covid hit, she didn't skip a beat. She attended all her meetings viz ZOOM, wrote cards and letters to family, friends, and neighbors to encourage them or share a Biblical thought. One of her favorite scriptures was Revelation 21:3,4 "...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

She loved sharing her hope for the future with anyone who would listen.  She will definitely be missed but only for a short time as she was convinced that Jehovah would fulfill his promise and resurrect her when God's Kingdom comes very soon. The prayer thousands repeat every day. Matthew 6:9,10 "Let your Kindgom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth."
