Robert "Bob" Viray

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Viray, 65 years old, of Dayton, Nevada on October 2, 2024. Bob peacefully left us in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 1, 1958 in San Francisco, CA, Bob lived a life full of warmth, humor, and devotion to those he loved. Above all, he was a family man—a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend who found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones.

Bob had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, often spending hours by the water, eagerly waiting for the next big catch. Many cherished memories were made during those quiet moments with family and friends.

When he wasn’t fishing, you could find him on the golf course, perfecting his swing or sharing a friendly rivalry with his buddies. He also got enjoyment out of bowling, where his competitive spirit and infectious laugh kept the atmosphere lighthearted and fun.

In his quieter moments, Bob found satisfaction in reloading, a hobby that allowed him to focus on precision and craftsmanship. But beyond the hobbies and interests, it was his infectious sense of humor that truly defined him. Bob had a gift for making people laugh, whether with a perfectly-timed joke, a funny story, or simply his bright, welcoming presence. His laughter was contagious, and he had a unique ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him.

More than anything, Bob was a devoted family man. His love for his wife, Diana, their five daughters, four son-in-laws and six grandchildren, knew no bounds. He was always there with a listening ear, a word of advice, or simply a shoulder to lean on. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, who will forever cherish the moments they shared.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Diana, his children, Nicole(Kevin), Jessica(Sean), Kimberly(Andrew), Samantha(Daniel), and Rachel, his grandchildren, Devin, Donovan, Nathan, Tessa, Sadie, and Annabelle, and a large circle of family and friends who were fortunate to know him.

You will be missed more than words can express, but your laughter and love will remain with us forever.
