I will never forget the time my Grandpa Pedro and Grandma Refugio went to visit us at my mom and dad's home (Lorenzo and Hazel) when I was about 8 or 9 years old. They would go to Espanola every once in a while to shop for a large quantity of food so that they wouldn't have to come down from Ojo Sarco very often. On this particular occasion, they stopped on their way to town instead of on their way out as they usually did. My Grandma Refugio invited me to go with them to the grocery store and asked my mom if I could go. She of course agreed. I remember the shopping spree she took me on, but she asked me not to tell my Grandpa that my mom hadn't sent money with which to pay for the items she so generously let me put in the basket. As a child of that age I had no regard for nutrition, but rather chose all the sweets I could find. I have never forgotten how kind she always was and how she always called me her little Sharoncita or Sharonona. I'm sorry that I didn't go see her more often, but I know that she loved me unconditionally. She never failed in telling me that she loved me each and every time she saw me. I promise that I will never let my two children forget the kind of person she was and how that single act of kindness she showed me will be with me always. May God keep you forever in his care. Until we meet again Grandma Sarco, Your Sharonona

Marina & Family: May God be with you at a time like this, but God has granted her to you for so many years. That is a blessing. What a beautiful mother you have. She will make heaven a beautiful place to be with her beautiful smile. Love, Tom and Frances Frazier

Very heartfelt thoughts to all the family of Senora Refugio. She was a very kind woman and I loved seeing her enjoy herself at the casino. She will be missed. Sweet Lady.
