RAYMOND FRANCIS MORAN

June, 17, 1947 – February 3, 2021

Raymond Francis Moran, 73, transitioned to his eternal home on February 3, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. The second to last of seven children, Ray was born on June 17, 1947 in Manhattan, NY; the son of the late Raymond and Adelaide Moran. He served in the United States Air Force, was an HBO high executive and retired from Information Systems & Consultation, Inc, his own computer and software consulting and developing company after a 50-year career.

Ray was the kindest and compassionate of souls, Obi-Wan to his daughter, loving grandfather to his grand fur babies Nala, Kion and Kensington; caregiver to his own fur baby cats; and loyal friend, confidante and companion to all who knew him. He celebrated life. He was a passionate UF Gator, Dallas Cowboys & SEC football fan; experienced scuba diver including night and cave diving; and a beacon of hope and positivity for those in his life. Ray believed in the Catholic faith and to be in service to all beings.

Ray is survived by his daughters, Diosa and Shannon Moran; sister Karen Moran Taylor; and friend Michelle Matthews. He is preceded by his parents; brothers John Moran and Gerald Maroney; and sisters Mary Moran, Kathleen Moran and Arlene Maroney. He also leaves behind many of his nieces, nephews, loving family and many others who cherished and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
