If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever - Forever Young
Rachel "Rae" Rush Haft was born on March 28, 1993, in Denver, Colorado, and she quickly grew into a vibrant beacon of kindness, humor, and ambition. Raised with a strong sense of family by her mother, Teresa Cooper, along with her stepfather, Kim Cooper, Rae was the heart of a close-knit clan that included her siblings, Nate, Chad, Heather, Molly and Aly, all of whom admired her spirited personality. She also cherished her relationships with her adorable nieces and nephew, Makenna, Aspen, and Carter, who adored their "Auntie Rae," and her beloved dogs, Daisy Dukes, Sonora, and Mr. T.
In 2019, Rae met the "man of her dreams" in Evan Haft, even telling her best friend Brooklyn the day they became inseparable that she "was going to marry this man." Evan and Rae were married on April 26th, 2024 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the best day of their lives.
With an insatiable curiosity for the world, Rae pursued an education in Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Diego State University, graduating in 2015. Her career took off as a Marketing Manager at Lotus Marketing. Prior to that, she honed her skills as a Marketing Coordinator at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa and as a Sales and Marketing Supervisor at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina.
Rae didn’t just work; she truly lived. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality—dancing like no one was watching, traveling to immerse herself in diverse cultures and cuisines, cuddling with her dogs, skiing on crisp mountain slopes, hiking scenic trails, biking along the beach, and enjoying weekend brunches with friends while sipping mimosas, wine, or margaritas.
Her zest for life was contagious, and her caring, generous spirit made her the friend everyone wanted to have. Her wonderful personality shined through in every aspect of her life. Rae was known for her loyalty and honesty, and her ambition drove her to achieve her goals while uplifting others along the way. She had an energetic presence that made every gathering more lively and every moment more special. She brought a Rae of sunshine into every person's lives that she touched and had a knack for getting her friends and family through the toughest situations.
Rae’s life was tragically cut short on November 28, 2025, in Huntington Beach, California. Her light continues to shine through the memories shared by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, March 28, 2026, at the Bayside Lawn of the Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Spa from 1 PM to 4 PM. Please utilize this site to RSVP.
In addition, a Valle de Guadalupe wine tour will be planned for Sunday, March 29th, 2026. It will be an all day event, so please plan your travels accordingly. See the events page for more details, but please RSVP if you plan to attend.
We invite you all to include memories, stories and photos below to help share the beautiful life that Rae lived and share how she touched so many lives in her time with us.
Though Rae may no longer walk among us, her spirit will remain alive in our hearts, reminding us to love fiercely, explore widely, and savor every moment of this beautiful life.

Rachel was my happy place through college and we were thick as thieves from the moment we met. So thankful for all the joy, tears, fun, shenanigans, and love we shared. She became part of your family so easily, and people like her are hard to come by. Here’s to continuing to love and find joy in her honor.

Rachel was more than my daughter Brooklyn‘s best friend – she was family. She had a way of making people feel seen and accepted exactly as they were, and she brought kindness, warmth, and laughter wherever she went. 32 years was not enough, but our lives are better because Rachel was in them, and emptier now that she’s gone. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always. Linda and Dave Dickerson

Rae will always be my dear daughter. After all that was, I am so grateful that she found happiness and brought her joy to so many.

We were so excited to meet both Rachel and Evan when we moved in next door. They were our dream neighbors. So friendly and inviting. We had some good times and not nearly enough time. Rachel was already undergoing treatment and I can’t imagine how hard it was for her to meet new friends with that harsh reality always in the back of her mind. It was hard for us too, but more than anything we are so grateful for the opportunity to meet her. Thank you for being so kind and loving, Rachel. We’ll never forget it, or you.

Rachel left this world way too soon. When you came into our lives you truly were a ray of sunshine. You were more than a daughter in law. You became a best friend. Our trips, our dancing, playing games were always more fun because you were there. I miss all of that and I miss the almost daily phone calls which sometime could go on for record time. I will miss you forever and ever!
