Everyone who knew John knew that no matter his struggle, he was resilient, happy, and full of life. He was adaptable and dependable, living life to the best of his ability. Everyone that met him admired his outspoken, caring, blunt, daring, funny, and cheerful character. His smile alone, too bright to forget never failing to light up the room with confidence unparalleled. No matter what troubles or strife befell him, his magnanimous spirit was always forgiving, with him always placing his heart in the right place.

He was the class clown; and gave an abundance of love and laughter to his friends and his family. He was a brother, a husband, and if you ask the his nephews and nieces, he was definitely the “fun uncle.” But above all else, he was a fighter. He fought hatred, he fought betrayal, and in the end, he fought for his own life and the life of others.

In his last moments he fought for justice, sacrificing his life to save someone. He was a hero. He was a hero reminding us to live life to the fullest and to not take anything for granted.

What happened to him was a tragedy, but he taught this world a valuable lesson.

Life is too short to not live it to the fullest, life is unpredictable, never knowing where it will take us. So we must be kinder and more grateful for every waking moment we have on earth. We must hold dear every moment and love unconditionally.

He created lasting memories that will be cherished by his loved ones forevermore. We will always love and carry him in our hearts, minds,and souls. We will never forget the moments of laughter and the tears shed along side you in this journey of life. He is forever missed, but we must find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place now.

God gained an angel on
