Phillip Andrew Tucker

Phillip Andrew Tucker was born on December 4, 1985, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to Pamela Geddes Renfroe and Michael Tucker. From the moment he arrived, he was described as “perfect”—a quiet, easygoing child with a calm spirit and a deep inner focus.

 

Phillip lived a life centered on passion, purpose, and connection. He pursued his dreams with unwavering dedication, building a life around the things he loved most: his family and friends, martial arts, and 3D/motion graphic design. If you ever spoke with Phillip, you likely heard him talk—often and with great enthusiasm—about one of these passions.

 

He was known for his thoughtful nature and the care he showed to those around him. Phillip never hesitated to pick up the phone just to check in. Whether through a quick call or a heartfelt conversation, he made sure his loved ones felt seen and supported.

 

His journey in martial arts began at age eleven, and through years of discipline and focus, he earned a third-degree black belt in Universal Sho Rei Goju. His passion for design also emerged early. He attended Gallery 37, where he was introduced to game design, and later pursued higher education at the International Academy of Design and Technology, earning his bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication with a specialty in Video and Animation Production. His creative talents blossomed into a rich twenty-year career as a 3D environmentalist and motion graphics artist, where he generously shared his expertise with his peers and colleagues.

 

Phillip was also blessed in love. He married his high school sweetheart, Ashley Tucker, and together they built a life grounded in mutual respect, friendship, and joy.

 

Phillip is survived by his devoted wife, Ashley Tucker; his mother, Pamela Geddes Renfroe; his father, Michael Tucker; and his beloved siblings, Michael Tucker, Myron Cook, and Michelle Chilton. He also leaves behind his cherished grandmother, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him deeply, as well as countless friends who became family over the years.

 

Phillip’s presence, laughter, and unwavering loyalty will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
