This is from Mom: Paul was such a great little boy, with lots of friends. And he continued to be that way as he grew up. He loved camping with the family on Cape Cod and returned there when he was older. He loved to travel with friends - all over, including Colorado and California, but he always came back home. I'd get regular phone calls from #2 Son, checking in. He said #2 Son was to keep him from being confused with his brothers. He always wanted to know what was going on - even when he was living across the country. I miss those phone calls now. Even after he had a family of his own, he shared with us about their activities and his pride in his daughter Carolyn. I know Paul is with family and friends that love him and will still be checking on us from heaven! My special love always, Mom

hi aunt Kathy and cousin Carolyn... I'm sorry I didn't speak while I had the opportunity I felt compelled to but I just didn't have the courage to because I didn't want to risk crying in front of everyone. Paul was a special soul that will be dearly missed. The way I will remember Paul is for the bigger then life spirit he conveyed. Paul was a person who always saw the good in people and if you were down he would offer his hand and advice to you to pick you up or to get you through whatever it is that you were going through. The thing that Paul said to me that I will always remember and I mentioned this in my post to you on Facebook was that you and Carolyn were the biggest joys success and accomplishments of his life. He and I were talking late at night having a beer together after you two had gone to sleep on my visit right before I left for the Army. It wasn't a particularly great time in my life and I was real down on myself and I told him that I was worried that I might never find someone to have a family with...he just gave me one of his big grizzly bear hugs and put his hand on my shoulder and said you know I felt the same way before I met Kathy. Even though we met each other late in life I wouldn't trade it for anything because she gives me meaning and a purpose to life...and together she gave me our greatest joy in this world in Carolyn. He then looked to me and said your journey isn't over Jorge you are a good man, I'm proud of you and who you've become since you've grown into an adult and you will find the right person when the time comes and you will discover the amazing feeling of being a husband and father that I have felt ever since I've started living this life as a family man. Now that I've gotten married and had a child I understand what he was saying so that brings a smile to my face but I cry because I will never be able to introduce my daughter maya to one of the men who just with a few words made a huge impact on my life when I needed someone to be there for me. I love you Paul, I'll miss you and when I see you again I'll still give you a ticket if I catch you smoking up in heaven 😂. When this COVID deal is all over I promise Kathy and Carolyn I will bring my wife and daughter to come meet you guys. I love you and am with you in spirit no matter how far the distance may be across oceans and seas ❤️❤️❤️

Kathy, we are so very sorry for your loss. You and Paul have been a part of our lives for so long. We will truly miss his humor, his laugh, and his craziness. You were a good friend to Joe growing up, you threw many, many tennis balls for Lightning. Paul will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. Love, Patti and Jerry

I'm probably not the best person to speak about my brother Paul. There are many of you who knew him better than I did. I was six years older than him, the big sister who yelled at him and thought of him as a little pest. He was, if we had one, the wild child of the family. I remember my mom had to keep him on a leash when we went to the beach so he wouldn't crawl right into the ocean. He was mischievous and challenging and I hated babysitting him. When I left for college he was just twelve and we didn't see each other often after that. When we did meet for holidays, there'd always be a lot of laughing and singing, with Paul and our brother Dwight playing their guitars or competing to see who knew the most lines from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. We kept in touch through our mom and I always knew he'd be there for me if I ever needed him. He really came through for my son - I think he understood him because they share the traits of being both stubborn and big-hearted. That stubbornness, along with his unfailing sense of humor, are what got him through these years of suffering. And his big heart… well, that's what I'll remember and miss most about my dear, one-of-a-kind little brother.

WOW, What do you say about the man that was the MAN. Crazy Fearless, Crazy Funny, Crazy Friendly, Just Plain Crazy. We are missing you already, Paul.
