Patricia Anne Brown

29 mars 1946 - 11 août 2020
Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
Patricia Anne Brown rode her Harley into Heavens gates on August 11, 2020.
Patricia was born in Johnson City, New York but spent the later years of her life in Florida surrounded by her family. She loved the sunshine and had a successful nursing career in Florida. Patricia was a loyal friend and generous caretaker. She dedicated her life to taking care of others.
All those who met Patricia will tell you that she enjoyed life’s simple pleasures with a sense of childlike wonder. She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords and movies. She was a collector of all things collectible. She appreciated crafting of all kinds including sewing, quilting, painting and coloring.
Patricia's greatest accomplishment was raising three children that she loved more than life: Charles Thomas Rogers, David Barry Schmeiske and Gretchen Eileen (Schmeiske) Moran. She was so incredibly proud to be their mother and grandmother to their children: David, Kody, Karly, KT, Isabella and Jack.
Patricia is survived by her 3 children and 6 grandchildren, half brothers Robert Edwards and Scott Edwards, and her twin aunts Hilda Brown and Anna Reeve who loved her dearly. Patricia is pre-deceased by her parents Thomas Brown, Eileen (Ransom) Brown and Elizabeth Ann Smith, her brother Richard Brown and her half brother Michael Brown.
Patricia's friends remember her for her sense of adventure. We will hold closely our memories of her with us at family gatherings, Bike Week, casino cruises and horse stables. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A private family memorial will be held in early Fall at Highland Cemetery in Odessa, NY where Patricia will be laid to rest with her parents and her brother Michael.

I’m so sad today Pat. I just found out today, 03/29/2021, when I wished you a happy birthday, that you’re no longer with us. My heart is broken. I remember all the good times we had so many years ago. I remember when you would come up you would stop at my store and fall asleep just like you use to do those years ago. I’ld be talking to you and look over and you were out. I picked on you so many times about doing that. I miss our talks and us talking about your kids and mine. I’m so sorry I wasn’t down there so you could see my bike and I yours. I’ll miss you forever. The way you would laugh or how you were always there for me. Love and miss you, Pat. Forever and always

What can I say. My mother was and still is the strongest most caring person that I've ever known. She was my best friend and my rock for as long as I can remember. She was always there for me whether it was for words of encouragement or to let me know I was screwing up or just for a simple hug and kiss. I don't know what I'll do without her. My world was dark before and it's so much darker now. I've lost so much in the last decade I'm not even sure how I'm going to go on. I will be strong and keep a positive outlook because I know my mother would want me to. I love you so much mom and ill I'll never stop missing you. I think ill miss your hugs the most. Rest in peace mom. <3

When I think of my dear friend, Patty, I remember all the love she had in her heart for so many. When we worked together we would buy things the residents needed, or do crafts with them in the middle of the night when they couldn't sleep, to taking every extra step to see that they had what they needed and wanted. She's the kind of person that would go late at night to get a resident a hamburger because they wanted one. She and I spent countless hours just talking, working side by side all night. She was a warm, loving, caring person whom always fought for the underdog. She's helped countless people in the 14 short years I knew her. I miss my friend dearly. I could go on forever letting people know the good in her heart, but you all knew her heart to be as big as I did, I'm sure. She and her son Tom and our family had a lot of good times together. They were family to us, and always will be. I love you Patty, my sister, my best friend and crafting buddy...I will hold you in my heart dearly til we meet again xo Christina

I met Pat when she came to visit the nonprofit horse rescue & therapeutic riding centet I started in 1998, HorseSisters. She signed up to volunteer that day & was a once a week helper plus came to work our public events as well. The people & horses all loved her to pieces. She quickly became my friend. I'm so very sad I ever got to ride Harley's with her. Our Agency members will all be so sad to hear of her passing & we will all miss her so very much - especially our donkey 10-4. Ride on Pat!! I'll see you again.

Pat and I have been friends since the late '90s when we worked together at Good Samaritan Village. Pat was my rock when my son passed away in 1996. We stayed friends, but didn't always stay in close contact but that didn't matter. Pat and her brother Dick rode Harleys with us whenever time allowed and always had great rides together. Pat truly loved her Harley! In 2012 we had the opportunity to be neighbors in Titusville and our friendship grew beyond measure. She was always there for me, and I for her. We were best buddies and Harley chicks! She introduced me to the love of my life who is now my husband. Pat was always there to lend a hand and would give you anything she had. She loved her children...more than they deserved at times, and they will tell you the same, but she never gave up on any of them. Her grandchildren were so very important to her and she tried with everything she had to make sure they knew she loved them. Pat's heart was pure gold and she is sorely missed. I am proud to call her my friend.
