~Mama Orazia~ A Loving Daughter Sister Auntie Mother Friend and Grandma Who We All have Memories With... Amen

It is with Great Sadness To Share That Our Mama Orazia Castile Passed Away December 7th, 2022. We her Daughters Cindy and Sheila miss her with great emptiness. She suffer with Dementia, of signs starting to show in 2019. She also had a Pacemaker since 2018. We had hard times, calm times, fun times and times of great love. She loved to go eat at restaurants and being served. She loved her nails done and massages. She was really good at sending cards to most in the family for many occasions. 2021, her Dementia escalated. Medication was not helping much with her moods. Finally she got a medication that helped her have better moods. March 2022 she broke her hip. She physically healed, but having Dementia her brain would not allow her to walk again. My mama was a woman faithful to her family, God and her close friends. Mama was a people person. She always loved talking to people in person or hours on the phone. She was the eldest daughter of Nonna Maria & Nonno Carolino Capra. When Nonna passed away, mama became the stand in for our Nonna. There were 9 siblings with Aussunta, the first baby girl passing away as toddler. The Capra clan were of 8 siblings, being John Mike Concezio Orazia Teresa Claudio Larry Christina. 4 have passed away over the years. My Mama Came to America 1956 at age 17 She went back to God at age 83.She met my Dad Ted at age 19 or 20 and Got Married at age 20. She met my dad while he was in the Marines. He was from Oregon with a family history of being related to Lewis of Lewis and Clark, who happen to be cousins of President George Washington. Her In-laws where Ben and Ruth Castile with Siblings of Lois and Jim.The time I saw great strength of my mama, was when her and my dad got divorced. She was a woman with a 5th grade education, who now had to find a new home for her daughters and herself. She got a job, took us to school, had to deal with teenagers and the emotions of divorce. After years of living on her own, she got to live in a friends trailer home she loved. Then it came time when Nonna Maria need care at her home. So my Mama gave up her life and moved into the tiny apartment to care for Nonna. After Nonna passed away, she stayed in the apartment for a few years, it was like the family shrine still alive. She then helped take care of Aunt Ileana mama. A few years later I then helped her get a job she loved. She worked at a Senior Center of those who had Alzheimer and Dementia. She even learned to drive a van to pick up or drop off seniors. She loved her Grandchild Doggy Bellina too. Miss your giggles kisses and hugs Mama. Love to our little Italian Mama Orazia.
