It’s been a long time since I saw “Grandpa” as I fondly called him but I’m grateful that the memories I have of him are ever so pleasant. Growing up just a few blocks from grandpa meant that I always got to see him every Sundays and more often than not. He was as caring as much as he was a disciplinarian. A man that seemed to leave a lasting impression on everyone that came in contact with him. In truth Baba will be sorely missed. However, even in death, we are comforted with his presence that surrounds us. Although we can not see his smile, or hear his voice, deep down in our hearts we know that he is still with us and is evident in all the good and exemplary deeds he left behind. Now it’s time to say goodbye to an Icon but to those who know him and love him like we still do, his memory will warm our heart till we meet to part no more. Rest in Peace Grandpa.

The last time I saw Grandpa was during my wedding last year October. Grandpa was a loving and jovial man. Always full of life. May his soul continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will remember him as a man who trusted in God. I met him for the first time when his wife was sick and he constantly spoke about how he gets comfort from God. In the midst of a difficult situation he still found time to teach and laugh and pray. He was indeed an honourable man. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
