CONCLUSIONOur beloved friend and a man of virtue and valour is gone, and that is why we are here to celebrate his glorious transition.Even in his last few days on earth, he constantly affirmed "I am not afraid of death"; I have seen the light, the blessedness and the tranquility of the other side, so I am ready to answer when he calls: He cannot be forgotten because he has impacted on every one of us. He has left us a unique legacy, though physically not present, but we are comforted by the good virtues he impacted on us and the good memories we shared. We will forever miss the safety of his presence. He was an amazing husband, dad, and friend!!! Rest in peace until the resurrection morning.

Captain Obi Ephraim Okeke - a personal tribute . - Sir our paths first crossed after the civil war. You came to study at Anglican Grammar school, Ubulu- Uku , while I was studying at St Anthony's R.C. College right opposite there. Fate then brought us together again in 1977 at Riversdale College in Liverpool. Obi was finishing his cadetship with Elder Dempster shipping company while I was at same level with Nigerian National Shipping line. Our friendship continued as we trained until marriages and children came along. Changes in shipping carriers caused many of us to divert to other suitable professions. My brother Obi , Master Mariner, became a Compass Adjuster for ships on the Mersey. I trained and became a teacher in Liverpool. We both supported our local community. - the Nigerian community in Merseyside. Obi went home to get married and on his return he was very excited to welcome his young and pretty wife Oby. It was another year before I accompanied Obi to Gatwick Airport to receive his wife and daughter Chioma. The drive back to Liverpool was jolly . More career changes followed as after a meeting with the Merseyside Police and the community, Captain Obi was invited to apply. He got in . My brother Captain Obi Okeke was softly spoken and a thoroughly professional man who loved his family and friends and his job. He will be sadly missed by all who. Have ever met him. May his soul rest in peace . Amen Captain Chris NEZIANYA

I have finally come to terms with the fact that my beloved and exceptionally loving uncle, is no more here with us physically. Writing a tribute for departed loved ones especially someone like my uncle is painfully difficult. You are lost in thoughts of a thousand memorable and positive things you know him for. I have had the privilege and singular honor to welcome him at Nigerian sea ports as a 2nd Officer and eventually captain onboard ocean going vessels he piloted on calm and turbulent seas all over the world like; River Maje, Andoni and Mada of the Nigerian Shipping line (NSL). Prior to this, was Elder Dempster Shipping line. My uncle was a 'university' that you study and aquire wisdom, discipline, calmness of mind, humility, diplomacy, devotion and plain sincerity. I take consolation that if not for the death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of calvary, it would've been the end. But I know Captain Ephraim Obi Okeke, has embarked on a journey to the heavenly places to continue the good work. It is well. Bon voyage my dearest uncle! ......Your nephew, Ike Okeke

The souls of the righteous are in the hands of the Lord, and there shall no torment touch them. You were a rare gem, and words failed us to quantify your attributes because they are so many. A truthful and brave man who always stands by his words. For the few number of years that we got to know you we learnt alot that we will forever cherish. You were noble in every sense! Continue to rest in the Lord till we meet to part no more sir. We will continue to love you, sir♥️ Addio Captain!

Tribute to My Dear Brother My dear brother, I received the shock of my life when I heard about your dismissal. I was so deeply affected for days, I couldn’t believe it. You treated me like a dear sister, and I will always cherish that. The last time we met was such a good moment, and I never imagined it would be the last time I would see you.If it were possible to question God, I would have asked why He allowed death to take you away from us. But God cannot be questioned, only He knows all things. *May you find rest in Him, in Jesus Christ name, Amen and Amen.* Mrs. Pauline Okoli
