Norman Edward Brooks

Norman Brooks, beloved Dad and Masonic Brother, passed peacefully into the Grand Lodge Above on August 27, 2021. Norm is survived by his son Mark (Janet) and Pat (Sharon) and his grandchildren Caitlyn, Mitchell, Maddie, Erin, Michael, Laura and Rachel.

"Lest We Forget", Norm served Canada as a valued member of the Canadian Armed Forces in a carreer spanning 38 years.

Not one to sit still, he then joind the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, protecting Canadian Government institutions, for over 10 years. For 47 years, Norm was a Freemason, eventually taking on the mantle of D.D.G.M., a role for which he was well suited. Throughout his masonic career, Norm practised the three main tenants of Masonry: Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.

Norm donated blood and plasma hundreds of times over his lifetime, helping many lives. Donating his time as "Bee Bop" the Shriner clown, he made many kids smile, while any monies raised went to support the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled and Burned Kids. Wherever he visited, Norm was well known for lightening the mood in a room by cracking a few jokes.
