It's been another week since we lost Miguel and we miss him terribly. We want to thank Ryan & Sarah, Julie and John along with the folks at GatheringUs for the beautiful celebration of life they did for Miguel. I know there were others who contributed as well, thank you. Also, thank you to all who shared pictures, love, thoughts, prayers and donations. To those who sent cards, flowers and provided meals when we still couldn't move, thank you. What a blessing you've all been to our family. Bless you all. I'll leave you with a few pictures of lighter moments that have occurred this last week. Angell came back to his first favorite team and donned Raiders gear. Angell was able to rescue a 10 week old puppy. He named her Raider in honor of his dad. She arrived to our home this morning. I think she's going to fit in.

Mikito had a wonderful personality that lit up not just a room but everyone in it. I only knew him for a few years, after marrying his cousin Joe Ruiz, but every time he came back to Cali to see the family, there was definitely a party, and he was definately in the middle of it! He really was a bright shining star, full of charm and youthful exuberance. We treasure the day we spent with him last year in New York City. He came in his loud and fast Dodge Charger to pick us at our hotel and went so fast down the streets - definitely felt like we were all teenagers and he just got his first car, lol. It was a devastating shock to find out that someone so full of the energy of life, is no longer with us... Thank you for the lovely memorial today, and to all that shared photos, and to all that spoke and shared stories. It meant a lot to us in these... fucking awful times. We send our love and thoughts to you all in this time of loss. XOXO+some more XXXOOO Joe & Cassi Ruiz, The Bay Area, CA

We cherish every moment and are so honored that every visit to Colorado we got to see you and eat the best fried rice ever! I have learned from the best and can make it now but it's not as good as yours.

We received Miguel's urn today and wanted to share. It's beautiful and so appropriate. Thank you Raider Nation. It was also a chance to share all the beautiful flower arrangements that have been sent to us. Thank you for those, the prayers and all the encouragement.
