Michael D. Tena

      Michael D. Tena our beloved husband, father and pampa entered external life with our lord September 21, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born June 18, 1946. Michael lived in Santa Fe most of his life. He honorably served his country with the United State Marine Corps. Michael will be deeply missed by his family.

     He is preceded in death by his parents Esequiel and Pauline, brothers George, Joe, and John, and sisters Lucille and Jane. 

     Michael is survived by his loving wife Cecilia, daughters Melissa, Mequella (Enrique), stepdaughter Maria, grandchildren Marcos, Alec, Ayva, Rhiannon and Illianna, sisters Mary (Jerry), Dolores (Isaac), Polly (Esequiel), Linda and Mona. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     He was a loving husband, father and pampa with a heart of gold. His favorite holiday was Christmas. He loved seeing the smile on his grandchildren’s face while they opened their Christmas presents. Our family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, thoughts and generosity during this difficult time. 

     Pallbearers will be Enrique Moreno, Alec Vigil, Gilberto Romero, Anise Valdez, Ajay Coughlin and Ricardo Romero. 

     Rosary will be October 3, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Church, 1301 Osage Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87505 at 10:00am with a mass following at 11:00am 

Mass of Christian Burial will be on October 4, 2024, at 9:30am at The National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
