My son Michael. The one that made me a mother, the one that always challenged me even as a young child to be a better person. Even as a young boy he played hard, loved deeply and made friends so easy. Life never got him down, it may have caused him to pause a few times but then he would pick up and move forward even harder and more determined. He never really had a dad in his life but he turned out to be the greatest man I've ever known. Being here and meeting his friends and listening to the stories laughing together crying together has helped me more than you guys will ever know. I feel like I lost one son but gained many more. I am beyond devastated with this whole situation and have no idea how I will move on. I'm also very sad and hurt for Grace and Michael's three children Hanah, Ethan and Sam one thing I do know is that Michael would not want us to stop living our lives. He would be right there saying come on pick yourself up you can do this it's OK. Michael lived his life to the fullest and everything he did he always went beyond medium to achieve excellence. This will be a very long process grieving the loss of my son that I love dearly talk to you often shared many memories with.

Fall - 2017 - Seoul, South Korea Just one of the many times Mike took some friends (myself and Sean Zemke) to a new restaurant he had been dying to try... and of course, as usual... the food was delicious. Mike had a knack for finding the best restaurants. There was some more hilarity that night, but it would be on Sean to tell that story...

Summer/Fall - 2016 - Seoul, Korea Playing a traditional Korean card game called Hwatu or "Go-Stop" with Mike, Chris Contreraz, and Grace (out of picture). Mike basically won every time. Me and Chris would always tease him about cheating because he was so good at it. At least once we teased him so much that he got irritated and stopped playing... which just made us laugh even more.
