Michael David Meiers, 56, originally from Little Suamico, Wisconsin, passed peacefully in his home on December 7th, 2022 in Simi Valley, California. Michael was born on March 10, 1966 to parents Lillian and David Meiers in Green Bay, Wisconsin. After graduating Premontre High School in 1984, he attended the University of La Crosse and moved to Southern California and started a career in manufacturing. Michael enjoyed playing ice hockey as a child in Wisconsin and continued his passion with sports as an adult. A devout Cheesehead, he had season tickets and part ownership that family members enjoyed using for him after he moved away. Despite moving to the city, Michael found peace in the outdoors, regularly hiking, biking, & snowboarding - never hesitating to try something new. He especially felt joy in these adventures with his two children, Madeline and Joseph Chanin Meiers. Michael was predeceased by his younger brother Patrick Meiers and his father David Meiers. He is survived by his mother, Lillian Meiers and two children Madeline and Joseph and many close friends in Green Bay Wisconsin who are considered family.

I met Michael through a common interest in theatrical production and hiking. He was very active in his church. I enjoyed our many conversations as well. He especially delighted in his children. I know he will be missed by all who knew him as the gentleman he aspired to be. Rest in Grace, Michael.

Your friends from the meeting in the park will remember you with love. There was an empty chair on New Years Day...it must have been for you my friend. In fellowship, Angel

I am so sad to hear of Mike’s passing. He was one of my brother’s good friends and spent many hours baling hay at my parents farm. He was always smiling and joking around- he had such a big heart. I’ve seen and spoke to him a few times in recent years and it was exactly the same except he enjoyed talking about his children as well. I am so sorry for your loss- please know others are missing his presence in this world in Wisconsin.
