Michael S. Jones

It is with immense sadness that we announce that Michael “Mike” Jones, 68, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on September 12, 2023. He was born on September 1, 1955, in Trinidad, CO. Mike was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His departure has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Mike was a man of many admirable qualities. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Lindsey Fink. His most cherished role, however, was that of a doting Papa to his twin grandkids, Hayden (granddaughter) and Hudson (grandson) Fink. His love for his family knew no bounds and his memory will forever be treasured in their hearts. Mike was also known for being an incredibly loyal and caring friend to many! Socializing was one of Mike’s favorite pastimes. He loved to gather with friends and family, sharing stories and laughter. He was known by many for his patriotism, love for all things John Wayne, and the Denver Broncos! Mike had a passion for camping and spent many memorable moments in the mountains. He was also a huge history buff and enjoyed learning about the past. If he had the choice, Mike would have preferred to either be camping or on the beach in Mexico, enjoying the sun and the sea with friends. His favorite drink was a crown and coke, and he couldn't function without his multiple cups of coffee. In his free time, Mike enjoyed working on cars and his motorcycle, finding joy in mechanical tinkering. Prior to retirement, Mike spent his career specializing in the sales of wire and cable for the electric supply and equipment industry. His expertise and dedication made him a respected professional in his field. Mike's love for his family was as strong as an electrical current. He is survived by his daughter Lindsey and son-in-law Michael Fink, as well as his cherished grandkids, Hayden and Hudson. He is also survived by his brother Bim Jones and sister-in-law Vicky Jones, along with nieces Kristen Frye and Brittani Heck, and nephew Patrick Jones. Mike's ex-wife Judy Baxter also mourns his loss. In his journey through life, Mike was preceded by his mother, Joan Jones, and his father, Charlie Jones. Although Mike did not want a formal service, anyone who knew him knew that he would be absolutely overjoyed to know that his friends got together to share laughter and exchange stories of his life over a crown and coke.
